Do The Work Books

A Workbook is a business and a community

A book builds a business.

A course creates a community,

a workbook does BOTH!

A BOOK IS A BUSINESS.

When you write, design and publish a book, that is really just the start of your book journey…not the end. To have a successful book you continually have to market and promote it. You have to live with it, just like your own business.

Publishing a book is an entity of itself. With all the work that goes into

  • developing and designing a book

  • marketing and advertising of a book

  • determining the financial and operations of a book

…you got yourself a business!

It can treat it as big or as small as you want, but it is in fact, a business. You are now selling, promoting, offering a product/service that will create active results for your participants.

Definition of a business:

A business is defined as an organization or enterprising entity engaged in commercial, industrial, or professional activities.

A workbook is a close relationship with your participant to you and your business. Your workbook is more than a business card.

Both cost money, but a workbook has the value.

Both is an expense but a workbook is an asset.

Both are physical pieces of paper, but a book creates impact, influence and income!

Just like a business card, a book can be the start of a relationship which will evolve into the ability to generate more transactions with the holding recipient. A workbook can be the start of your journey as it could lead to other revenue generating products and services such as audiobooks, ebooks, hardcover or paperback formats, online programs, coaching, speaking, workshops, masterminds or other events.

A COURSE IS A COMMUNITY.

When you teach and develop a program with guided lessons, that is an invitation for your students to be a part of your circle. To have a successful course, you must be actively engaged with your students to interact and inspire them. Failing to do so, will not support their learning.

Teaching a course can be another element of your business. It brings your audience together to learn the material you have prepared for them, in whatever way you want; a class or group offering virtual or in person gatherings. It allows you the opportunity to unite your students, synchronously or asynchronously, however you chose, with the lessons you sharing.

Definition of community:

A feeling of fellowship with others, as a result of sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals.

Your book is more than gathering like-minded people. It is the start of a relationship where you are just getting to know each other.

A WORKBOOK IS BOTH A BUSINESS AND A COMMUNITY.

By creating a workbook you are essentially starting a new division of your business that revolves around that book’s purpose, the participants and the marketing of the book. By creating a workbook you are engaging with your audience on a new platform that will support them on their own time and reflection. They will come back to you for for additional support if they found your work supportive and beneficial.

A workbook is just the beginning of a long lasting relationship with your audience.

A workbook is both the business of a book and the community of a course. It is a business entity with the element of community. All the work that goes into building your book and sharing your work with your participant means that you have not just started a business but a community.
